God doesn’t mince words when He tells us about the power of the tongue. We can use the power of speech He gave us to either speak wisdom or foolishness.

Sometimes the best indication of a foolish person is when they open their mouth and begin to speak. Knowing when to talk and when to keep silent is part of godly wisdom.

When the storms of life hit and threaten to drown us, our natural response is to be afraid; however, God tells us to respond supernaturally and to resist fear. When we focus solely on Jesus, we find shelter, protection, and deliverance.

Thankfulness from the heart, regardless of the situation at the moment, pleases God. It’s easy to say “thank you” when things are going well but more challenging to be thankful when we experience trouble or something goes wrong in our lives.

A thankful attitude is important to God; when we contemplate all that He has done in our lives, and is still doing, it’s hard not to give thanks. God’s will is to bless us so generously that we realize without a doubt that all the good things we experience aren’t from our hand, but from His.

God created us with a mouth to enable us to speak His Word and worship Him. Evil communications can have a pervasive effect; if we’re not careful to guard our mouths against worldly influences, we can sin through what we say.

God makes us prosperous and profitable, not just in our finances, but in every area of our lives. Making Him the source of our supply and letting Him teach us the right way to live makes our abundant success inevitable.

When God is with us, there’s no reason to fear anything. Just like when Goliath fell in battle by David’s hand, nothing can stand against us when we trust God. When we walk in His Word, He’ll honor us and raise us up beyond reproach.

Everything happens for a reason; when significant things happen in our lives, it’s not just by coincidence or luck. God’s hand is on His people and He wants to bless us in every way; He can always make something beautiful and good come from a bad situation.

In our spiritual walk, focusing on Jesus keeps us out of danger. As Christians, we’re to be in the world without being part of it; with that in mind, God promises to keep us safe from any evil snares and traps the world may set.

In times when we’re weak and need strength to face a tough situation, relying on our own strength doesn’t work. We succeed only when we lean on Jesus, who is grace in the flesh. Life will always haves its challenges, but He makes us strong.

God has established His own set of spiritual laws, which are eternal and will stand forever, and has declared that we are to command the works of His hands. This means that on the spiritual level we have the right to command things into or out of existence. 

Letting the Holy Spirit minister to us opens our spiritual eyes and ears to what God planned for us since before the beginning of time. He called each of us to complete a particular task for the glory of His kingdom; this calling gives us hope and joy. God richly equips us to get the job done and sets aside a glorious inheritance for us.

Christians are no ordinary mortals, but children of God; this makes us brothers and sisters with Jesus, which is an amazing blessing. We can’t help but rejoice and give thanks when we meditate on the knowledge that we have a divine inheritance as members of God’s own family.

The enemy is always looking for a way into our lives, to see if he can pounce and devour us like a lion takes down its prey; all believers face this same type of spiritual danger. Thankfully, God’s Word is stronger than our adversary.

Grace is God’s unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor toward us; it’s also Jesus, who is grace packaged in human form. Accepting Grace, and what He did for us on the cross, saves us from sin and puts us in right-standing in God’s eyes.

We can lean on God for strength and safety when we feel weak and vulnerable. When everyone else scatters and runs in fear, He’ll stand with us and remain faithful; trusting Him keeps us safe.

This is an example of one of the promises we have from God for protection against violence and attacks of any kind. Peace, safety, security, stability, and deliverance are all from the Lord; we can rest easy when we take refuge in Him.

Trusting God enough to depend on His strength on a daily basis puts a joyful song in our hearts that wasn’t there before. Jesus has delivered us from death and given us eternal, abundant life. Every day is a gift from God; He wants us to live each one in joy and happiness.

We can depend on God to keep us and our loved ones safe from evil and violence because He gives us a supernatural source of protection. The Bible is full of joyful promises that He makes to His people.

This Scripture reminds us that there’s no reason to fear any situation in life or what anyone could try to do to harm us. Knowing that the creator, Himself, is on our side and His favor is on us allows us to operate from a place of victory.

As Christians, we’re free to live joyfully, regardless of what’s going on around us. We can enjoy what God has blessed us with while sharing those blessings with others. The joy that comes only from Him gives us strength the world doesn’t have.

One touch from God brings total and complete healing. Whether the need is physical, emotional, or psychological, His presence casts out sickness and sin.

True healing comes directly from God, who honors our faith in His Word and always keeps His promises. Regardless of how broken or sick we are when we come to Him, when He heals us, we’re even better than we were before.

Our acceptance by faith in what God’s Word says makes us righteous in His eyes; the knowledge that we have right-standing with Him gives us a peace the world doesn’t have. The hope that we have is filled with joy over the finished works of Jesus.

There’s a definite connection between the spiritual condition of our hearts and the physical condition of our bodies. God’s Word is life; it brings healing, wholeness, and joy on many different levels. Jesus is the Great Physician; those who internalize what He says demonstrate true wisdom.

We can place our hope in Jesus with complete certainty and no doubt; just because we can’t see it with our physical eyes doesn’t mean it isn’t real. Hoping and believing in what we don’t see is the essence of faith, which justifies us.

When Moses was leading the people through the wilderness and he prayed to God for guidance, God revealed to him that he needed to speak to the situation from a position of authority. God has empowered those who believe in His promises to speak to any problems or situations that arise, and command them to step aside. When we move forward in faith despite what we see, miracles happen.   

God has always been full of mercy and grace, even in the Old Testament when the works-based Law of Moses was in effect. When God told Abram he would be the father of many nations despite his advanced age, it came to pass because Abram believed God. His faith in God’s promises—not his actions—was what made him righteous.

No matter what happens in our lives or how dire the circumstances are, God always shows up when we need Him. This reassurance not to fear is found repeatedly throughout the Bible; it’s deliberately phrased not as a suggestion, but as an emphatic command.

We can resolve to improve ourselves through our self-efforts, but God makes improvements in us from the inside out. The saying “Out with the old, in with the new” is well-intentioned, but He gets the job done by making us into brand new creatures when we get born again and accept Christ into our lives.
