The way that life springs surprises on us can keep us on our toes. It’s exciting for some people, and unsettling for others. How we deal with it can either keep us on track, or completely derail us. When we’re not sure how to handle a situation or even when we are sure, God’s grace is available to help us.

Grace has made available everything we’ll ever need for a successful life, including wisdom. This spiritual gift tells us what to do when we don’t know what to do. When we depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us, the results are much better than if we’d relied on our own efforts. God has this wisdom waiting for us whenever we need it.

God, Who can view time all at once from beginning to end, has a completely different perspective than we do with our limited point of view. Issues that could frazzle our nerves and cause great anxiety are easily handled when we let godly wisdom and reason take over. When difficult situations pop up, the Holy Spirit points out solutions that we would never see by ourselves.

Wisdom from heaven brings us the ability to deal with everyday situations calmly, peacefully, and with consideration for others. It allows us to see all sides of an issue impartially, and teaches us the value of seeking wise counsel from others. It gives us the intuition to make the right decision for everyone involved. When we depend on this grace gift, it is pleasing to God.

Prayer:

Father, You have such favor toward us that You gave us the gift of godly wisdom, and I thank You for it. This is something we desperately need to help us make sound decisions in life. This is one of Your perfect gifts from above. In Jesus’ name, I will use it every day to help me live a victorious life. Amen.
